Dr. Coppel has resided in Las Vegas since 2006. He was born in Mexico and upon moving with his family to the United States he lived in Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Coppel graduated with honors from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. He earned his medical degree in 1996 from the University of Arizona School of Medicine. He then completed a one year medical internship at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. This was followed by the completion of his residency in Anesthesiology and Critical Care at The University of Chicago Hospitals in 2005. He then sub-specialized in the field of pain medicine by completing a pain management fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland in 2006.
Dr. Coppel is board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialist in both the field of Anesthesiology with Critical Care and Pain Medicine. Since establishing his practice in Las Vegas in 2006, Dr. Coppel has been proud to be on eof the first physicians that utilized a multidisciplinary approach to the management of painful medical conditions. Furthermore, he has been very active in a variety of community outreach programs that have helped provide medical care to underserved areas. Due to the fact that he is fluent in Spanish, he has been particularly interested in serving the Hispanic community.
