A sacroiliac (SI) joint fusion is a procedure used to treat SI joint related pain. It is occurs by placing an implant in the SI joint to restrict motion. This results in improvemevents in low back/buttocks pain and pain with phyiscal activity.
SI joint fusion is a minimally invasive surgical procedure.
Under image guidance, a small incision is made over the joint and the specialized tools are used to access the joint space.
Specialized tools are used to place the implant and fuse the joint.
