Minimimaly Invasive Lumber Decompression (MILD) is a procedure used to treat lumbar spinal stenosis that occurs from overgrowth of a major spinal ligament (the ligamentum flavum). This ligament is trimmed away during the procedure to allow for more space within the spinal canal. This results in improvments in leg pain, leg weakness, and even low back/buttock pain.
